All of our Swimwear is made using ECONYL® regenerated nylon. Our Signature Collections are using ECONYL® fibre for Rib and Terry and a soft inside lining made with ECONYL® yarn as well.
ECONYL® is a 100% regenerated nylon fibre made from nylon waste otherwise polluting the Earth, like fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring and industrial plastic rescued from all over the world. Through a radical regeneration and purification process, the nylon waste is recycled right back to its original purity.
Regular nylon is made from non-renewable petroleum oil which is a significant contributor to global warming. By choosing ECONYL® regenerated nylon instead of standard nylon, Oceanchild is making a conscious choice towards a more sustainable future and help our community to make one too.
The positive impacts of using ECONYL® fibre are the revolutionary process of waste regeneration and the protection of our environment.
In addition to the Global Recycling Standard (GRS) certification, ECONYL® yarn is certified by the OEKO-TEX® 100 Standard that ensures we are eliminating &/or reducing the toxic chemicals used in the production of our trims and fabrics.
If you are a seeker of the sun or love to play in the sea, the fabric made with ECONYL® fibre is SPF 50+. High quality ensures longevity – resistant to sun cream & oil, ultrachlorine and pilling – making sure you feel fresh all summer.
